About This Site

I created this website is to provide a platform for all beer league hockey players to have fun, hang out, share some stories and some laughs.

The goal here is to create a fun community of like-minded hockey men and women that like to laugh, drink beer, share stories from on and off the ice, and most importantly, have fun.

I welcome any and all feedback, suggestions, and critiques.

I also welcome any content you would like to share: team pics, stories and anything funny related to our world of beer league hockey.

Table Of Contents

Here you’ll have a place to share all of your best beer league stories that involve humor, embarrassments, gore, championship runs, complete season flameouts, tailgates, locker room antics, and the endless shenanigans that make us proud beer leaguers.

The goal here is the same as beer league hockey in its essence: “organized hockey in its purest form, unencumbered by money, skill, ambition, fans or advancement.”

Beer league hockey is more than just our collective love of the game, and of drinking beer. It’s part of our identity and lifestyle.

BeerLeagueHockey.net because there are no coms in hockey.

Who Am I?

I’m Bill Burniece. I live in a western suburb (Arvada) of Denver, Colorado USA.

I play locally in a few different beer leagues, drop-ins, private skates and tournaments.

Like most, I didn’t have the game to play big league hockey so now I reside in the beautiful world of beer league hockey – right where I belong.

Born in the frying pan of Scottsdale, Arizona I knew nothing about hockey until our family moved north to the hockey factory that is Edina, Minnesota.

Yes, I’m a cake eater so go ahead and pile on. I’ve heard all the Edina-hating chirps before.

I’m looking for contributors.

You don’t have to be a good writer; you just have to be a beer league hockey player who has a great sense of humor and a love for what we do out there.
